Overview

The English Casa TEFL Institute Teaching Business English(TBE) Certificate is designed for those interested in teaching English in a Business or Corporate environment.

The course consists of 10 modules over 60 hours capped with a 3 hour proctored teaching practicum.

Module Description:

Module 1: Trainees learn to identify the needs of the learners and what that means to the teacher.

Module 2: Trainees learn how to manage classes and facilitate learning.

Module 3: Trainees learn how to analyze the needs of the learners and how best to fulfill them.

Module 4: Trainees study effective ways of presenting new lexis in the business classroom.

Module 5: Trainees learn how to evaluate course books and materials in meeting the needs of their students and how to effectively use them.

Module 6: Trainees learn how to properly handle a 1 to 1 class in a business setting.

Upon complete of Module 6, student must submit their first graded demonstration lesson proctored by a qualified teacher.

Module 7: Trainees learn how to analyse the particular problems of using English on the telephone.

Module 8: Trainees learn how evaluate effective presentations and how to help students develop presentation skills.

Upon completion of Module 8, trainees must submit their second graded demonstration lesson proctored by a qualified teacher.

Module 9: Trainees learn the different types of business writing and how to properly develop the skills in a classroom setting.

Module 10: Trainees learn about activities useful in business English class.

After the completion of Module 10, trainees must submit their final graded demonstration lesson proctored by a qualified teacher.
